MY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Wedding photography is an investment that covers much more than just the time spent on your big day. Here’s why I charge what I do:
Experience and Expertise
I bring years of experience, technical skills, and an artistic eye to ensure you get the best shots. I know how to handle every moment, lighting situation, and emotional scene with precision.
Equipment and Editing
High-quality cameras, lenses, and backup gear don’t come cheap. My camera equipment has cost me around $25,000. Between upgrading my camera bodies, camera lenses, multiple flashes, memory cards, hard drives, computers, and online subscriptions that help give you a stress free, professional experience.
Time Commitment
I often spend hours, sometimes even days, preparing for your wedding. This includes consultations, travel, engagement session, shooting the event, and then editing the photos afterward. It’s a full-time commitment that extends far beyond just the day of the wedding.
Post-Production Work
After the wedding, I will spend many hours culling through THOUSANDS of photos, carefully selecting the best moments, and editing them to perfection. This process takes me around 20 hours after the wedding to complete. Some weddings I take 6,000, 8,000, even 12,000 photos. I also am known for delivering a generous amount of images. While most photographers will offer 400 images back after a wedding day, I promise at least 1,000 images in my most popular packages.
Licensing and Rights
I am not just taking photos—I am giving you the rights to those images. This means you have the ability to print and use your photos however you like, and I provide those rights with the session fee.
Travel and Additional Costs
I factor in travel expenses, especially for destination weddings. This ensures I can get to your wedding location with the proper equipment to capture everything beautifully.
Backup Plans
In case of equipment failure, I bring backups to ensure everything runs smoothly. This added layer of security helps prevent any hiccups on your big day.
Customer Service
From initial consultation to delivering your final images, I offer personalized service every step of the way. I am invested in making your experience smooth and ensuring your memories are captured just the way you want.

Do I need to put a large deposit down in order to book my wedding with you?
I am flexible and can provide you with a customized payment plan that we can agree upon before booking!
CAN I LOSE MY DATE IF I DON'T PAY THE DEPOSIT/ SIGN THE CONTRACT THE DAY IT IS DUE?
Unfortunately, your date is not reserved until I have received both the deposit and the signed contract, as many others are inquiring about the same dates.
DO I NEED TO SIGN A CONTRACT TO BOOK, WHEN IS THAT DUE?
The contract should be signed within 24 hours of being sent to you via email!
What is included in the session fee?
The session fee includes my time, talent, editing of your photos, rights to use and print all of your photos, and my travel. There are no hidden costs after the session.
HOW LONG DOES AN AVERAGE SESSION TAKE?
Multiple Location Senior Session: 1.5 to 2.5 hours
One Location Family/Maternity Session: 35 to 45 minutes
Multiple Location Couples Session: 1.5 to 2.5 hours
WHERE WILL MY SESSION TAKE PLACE?
My sessions typically take place in Omaha, as I am based here. Travel fees may apply if your session is outside of Omaha. Destination engagement sessions are also available.
WHO DECIDES ON LOCATIONS FOR MY SESSION?
Before your session, I'll reach out to ask which location vibes you like from my feed. Your happiness is my priority! Once you send me your preferences, we can decide which outfits will look best at each spot!
I DON'T KNOW ANY POSES! DO YOU POSE US?
Yes! I will guide you through every pose and help with each one. You can completely relax while I make sure you look your best! :)
WHAT COLORS DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR PHOTOS?
Neutrals: whites, creams, variations of browns, blacks, and greys. Light blue is also a great option!
WHERE WILL I CHANGE INTO MY DIFFERENT OUTFITS DURING A SESSION?
Your car on the way to the different locations! Sometimes, there are public places that work as well.
WHAT COLORS DO YOU RECOMMEND CLIENTS TRY TO AVOID?
Bright, loud, and vibrant colors like red, blue, green, and orange.
Can I bring props or pets to the session?
Of course! Bring your puppy, bring the bouquet of flowers, bring the hats, bring the blanket, bring the champagne! I am all for it!
